New York: Rockaway Beach Wedding

We started the journey to capture Lissette and John’s wedding on a ferry from the hustling New York City to Rockaway Beach. We woke up to the forecast not looking too promising, but we knew that no matter what, the day would be filled with amazing moments, fun, and love…and we weren’t wrong. Rockaway Beach is a very special place for the couple which added so much depth to the day.

The Details

All of the details at Lissette and John’s wedding were curated perfectly. She had a personalized Kate Spade bag made by her team at work, the colored bridesmaid dresses that matched their bouquets, oh, and not to mention the bride’s bouquet! The Rockaway Hotel was a perfect venue to complement all of these details.

The Day

As we mentioned in the intro, the forecast did not look good, so the ceremony was moved inside. The team all did a great job moving things inside quickly and getting it set up beautifully. The ceremony was filled with special moments and showed their love off. After, all the family met up in the next room for photos and those special moments continued.

Luckily the weather took a little break for us to be able to go to the beach to take their bride and groom photos. As hectic as the day got at times, Lissette and John were always happy because they knew there day was so much more than just the things that might not be going as planned. Working with couples, it is so amazing to always see the love of the couple and everyone around them come together to make the day everything and more no matter what.

The Couple And The Party

The day kept getting better once the reception started. The group of people there had the best energy and made it the best party! Lissette and John have the sweetest relationship and the best sense of humor which made the day unforgettable. And her outfit change was EVERYTHING!
